Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Pictora, the free web app that turns text prompts into images. By creating an account or using Pictora, you agree to these terms and to our content policy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Eligibility

You must be 13 or older to use Pictora. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Pictora only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you. You confirm your age when you create your account.

Pictora is offered in the United States only. You may not use Pictora where doing so would break local law.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Each person may have one account. Tell us at contact@rpillai.dev if you think someone else is using it.

The free daily allowance

Pictora is free. Each account gets a daily allowance of points, shown in the app, that resets at 00:00 UTC and does not roll over. Each image uses points according to the model and quality you choose; failed and blocked requests are refunded. We may change the allowance, the models on offer and the features of the service at any time, and we may lower the allowance for accounts that show signs of abuse.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Pictora only in line with these terms and our content policy. In particular, you agree not to:

• create, upload or request content that the content policy does not allow;
• upload images you don't have the right to use, or edit photos of real people in ways that sexualise, humiliate or impersonate them;
• break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• get around the daily allowance, rate limits or safety checks, for example by creating several accounts or automating requests;
• probe, scan, overload or attack the service, or try to reach other users' data;
• remove watermarks or provenance metadata that image models add to their outputs;
• resell access to Pictora or use it to build a competing service.

Ownership of outputs

You own the prompts you write and the images you upload. As far as the law and the terms of our model providers allow, you own the images Pictora generates for you, and you may use them for any lawful purpose. Some jurisdictions may not grant copyright in AI-generated images, and other people may get similar images from similar prompts, so we can't promise that an output is unique or protected.

You give us permission to store, process and show your prompts, uploads and images only as needed to run Pictora for you, to keep it safe and to meet our legal duties. Your images are private: we don't publish them or share them with other users.

No warranty

Pictora is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Image models can produce results that are inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable, and you are responsible for how you use what you create. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any model will stay available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pictora and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. As Pictora is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars.

Termination

You can stop using Pictora at any time and delete your account in the app; your images and data are then removed within 30 days, as the privacy policy describes.

We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you break these terms or the content policy, if your use puts the service or other people at risk, or if we stop offering Pictora. Sexual content involving minors ends your account immediately and may be reported to the authorities. The content policy describes the cooldowns and suspensions that apply to other violations.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change is significant, we will ask you to accept the new version before you keep using Pictora. The version you accepted is recorded with your account.
